In a democracy, a government leader, with an approval rating of less then 35% should resign immediately, whether justified or not. A senior government minister with a rating of 14% should not only resign today, he should ask sincere appology from his voters. In the Israel of today, both government members go on like this is just a little hick-up in their tenure, part of all sorts of minor problems. This only reduces my (already minimal) trust in the present government and the cowardous of the present Knesset members. But more important is the trend we see in the polls results of Israeli support for far-rightwing extremists like Avigdor Lieberman. Israel would REALLY destroy itself if it would bring these sickoos to power. I want to believe it is just a sign of the present desperation of the Israeli people with their current leaders, and not so much a shifting of critical mass towards the extreme rightwing, semi-fascist part of zionism that Yisrael Beitenu represents.
