Mussolini (and Hitler) came to power amidst widespread hope that they could be coaxed into civilized behavior, once they had the reins of governance in their hand. It is a major mistake to think that Hamas will be moderated by a place in a Palestinian coalition. They will join Ahmadinejad, Bashar Al Assad, Hezbollah, and Al Qaeda in an increasingly strong coalition of terror. The Palestinian voters must stand up for Abu Mazen, or revert to the international disdain that accompanied their less than wise decisions, such as dancing to the tune of Scud missiles or the 9/11 attacks. Their choice -- but let's not be fooled. A killer within government is no different than a killer without. The window of peace is almost closed for our generation. Men and women of goodwill must do all we can to pry it open.
