    They allow one to see these individuals for what they are: people without any insight into any ways of life other than their own, without any knowledge of any religion other than their own, without any knowledge of history, art, music or culture other than their blinkered, narrow existence which they call the universe and which they assume must be better than anyone else's. These are exactly the sort of people who expelled the Jews from Spain in 1492 and who instituted the Inquisition to ferret out any Jewish and Islamic backsliders from Christianity. They are the sort of people who blew up the Buddhist statues in Afghanistan. You can laugh at them, but do not underestimate their willingness to wreck havoc on civilization whenever they get their hands on power.
