What do you mean by "There seems to be no need for an empirical foundation to answer the AJC people's question." Your assertion that Israelis basically don't give a damn about their North American brethern is circumstancial at best. I watched the Israeli news channels, and read the mainstream Israeli newspapers, and the coverage in general was critical of Yehoshua. Isn't that evidence to the contrary of what you preach? As an Israeli who lives in Canada and spends 3 months every year in Israel, my "truth" is different from yours. The Israelis I know LOVE the U.S. as a country, and are extremly greatful for the support they get from North American Jewry. Your article is no more than a wishful thinking of a typical elitist leftist Israeli. A.B. Yehoshua is no different. His little "speach" was not the words of a great thinker (as you would like us to believe). It was more like the "ugly Israel" attacking people with arrogance. Yoiu try to make it seem like the margianl is the main stream

Assad used chemical arms against ISIS in Damascus

After Assad crossed Obama's 'red line' by using chemical arms, a deal was reached to see all such weapons removed from the war-torn country. Last week however, the regime used a chemical agent - most likely sarin - against ISIS.

Why the Jewish establishment won’t condemn the occupation

Unless more U.S. Jews who oppose the occupation become members of established Jewish organizations and donate money, the establishment is unlikely to heed calls of those who want it to condemn the occupation.
