The suggestion that it somehow is automatically immoral to "endorse the enemy" was the most stupid thing I've read in a while now so I felt some response was needed. If your country is fighting an immoral battle it is immoral to assist that battle, it is not immoral to argue that the battle is immoral (or otherwise "endorse the enemy"). Would you claim that Germans who "endorsed" Jews during the holocaust were acting immorally? There were Germans who sheltered Jews or otherwise actively opposed the Nazi goals - following your logic that must be much worse than simply writing an op-ed. Thankfully those Germans did not share the notion that one must never "endorse the enemy".
