For an article that purports to provide answers as to why Israelis find nothing wrong in oppressing their non-Jewish neighbours, I find it surprising that you do not mention the Oslo peace process, Olmert's 2008 offer or Israel's withdrawal from Gaza. The failure of these initiatives to achieve conflict resolution was not only Israel's fault; the Palestinians must shoulder some responsibility for their current plight. A a so-called liberal commentator who fails to acknowledge this - or even to mention these events - contributes as little to the debate over why Israel is increasingly comfortable living by non-libertarian values as his right-wing colleagues who blame everything on the Palestinians and Arabs.
