Israel has continued to illegally build on Palestinian land since Olso. I fail to understand how anyone can doubt Netanyahu's intentions or to hold out any hope that bringing Livni into the Goverment will bring about any substantive change. We remember Cast Lead and Livni's public statements justifying this carnage. Even if there was good intent on the part of Netanyhu or Livni there appears to be no way to both keep Israeli society together AND restrain the settlers. The Zionist enterprise is not sustainable in the long run but it still has a bit of life in it. I have no doubt that Obama has the real interests of both Palestinians and Jews at heart but politics is the art of the possible. I doubt that there can be any change in the Israeli position until public opinion in the USA turns and Israel's international isolation increases. In the meantime EJ Arab houses will be demolished, the moral army will entertain us all with their Facebook antics, others will believe that they are a light unto nations... yada, yada, yada
