It is probable that he will want a further round of talks so that he can argue that he is not the rejectionist in this conflict. Abbas will have to sit across a table from him for the same reason - but my guess is that it will end up being just another initiative that achieves nothing. The Israelis will not give the Palestinians a viable state, the United Nations can. Abbas must carry on his work in the international arena until they do.
