How could the establishment of Israel be just to the existing indigenous non-Jewish population? The early Zionists knew that the non-Jewish Palestinians had to be removed (as much as possible) for there to be a Jewish State and the fact that a war weary world did precious little to protect the rights of the non-Jews should not be construed as the UN 'deciding the Jews deserved their own homeland'. Are you trying to say that the creation of Israel and the transfer of the 750,000 non-Jews was really an act of the UN and Zionist Jews just had the gift given to them? How about Israel truly facing up to the historic injustices of its creation to the Palestinians and not deflect blame (or credit) onto the UN. The fact that these injustices by the appropriation of lands over the Green Line are continuing means that the original crimes cannot be forgiven or for there to be genuine reconciliation. The Israel that will be destroyed by the 1SS solution is the Israel that privileges one religion over another - it can still be a homeland to Jews even if Jewish domination ceases.
