It is a fiasco, and the authorities are to be blamed for this mess. Once upon a time, Israel was poor and primitive and the very idea that foreigners would come here to look for work was quite ridiculous. And think about it - if people leave their homeland and go to Israel in order to enjoy security, what does that say about their homeland? Amazing change. Tragedies. But the kafkaesque and ionesco-esque of it all is not an israeli monopoly. You´ll find the same, with local variations and themes, all over Europe. Now, Israel, and Europe, can absord some of the migrants, but the only solution, in the long run, is of course to make Eritrea (and many other states) a better place, with prosperity, jobs and security.
