I can talk for many South Americans when I say, dear Erich, that we are not against Israel, but against SOME of the policies of its government. You have to wonder who is the blind man, if the one that thinks everybody is against him or the one that proclaims that you have to fight the causes of violence as much as the violence itself. I believe that the "siege mentality" of many persons in Israel, even being understandable, is what brings most of the grief the families of the death are suffering today, in another incident of an endless war. My heartfelt condolences go for those families. These are the people we should be talking about today, instead of having the attitude of "See? I told you so! The right answer is retaliation and isolationism". To have peace everybody, you included, must be ready to forgive and cede. The violence is the resource of those unable to be smarter.
