    Several posters commented that Muslim countries do not allow churches or synagogues. I know about Iran, and there are quite a few churches and synagogues there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_synagogues_in_Iran http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tehran Iranians are not Saudis. There is real intellectual life in Iran. Also, most Iranians are more progressive than their government.
