Israel simply does not want peace and this trotting out of the French suited Shalom is indicative of the duplicity of these hapless politicians. Notice what has transpired in thre last few days since the announcement of direct negotiations. Israel is already planning their reusmption of their colonialist expansionism but they need to lqay the ground work first and this will occur during the next month. No one in their right mind thinks it is sign of positive intent on the part of Israel if they move full steam ahead with their settlement expansionism while sitting at the table negotiating over that very land they are stealing. Isrqael thinks it is allowed however and according to them that is all that matters. Thery set the terms, lay out the agenda and everyone else listens and obeys. But Israel is not interested in peace. It wants land, it wants expansionism, it wants control of all air space and water rights and it will throw the Palestinians a few urban areas where they will have some autonomy. the gasbag netanyahu will whine in his americanised english how much Israel has sacrificed for peace and how the palestinians are unwilling partners in Israel's desire for peace and the major earth shaking moves it has made to attaining it. Is there nothing this rogue state can do that will bring about the public ire of the international community?
