While everyone is being side-swiped by the the constant bickering. The settlers are slowly but surely making sure a Palestinian state will not come to fruition. The Israeli government could care less about a Pal state, that's why they go along with any kind of agreement that doesn't force them to change the rules eg. Camp David, Taba Negotiations. The Palestinians being too prideful are not doing themselves any good by continuing to act violent (even though Palestinians suffer more violence by the hands of the IDF and settlers daily). I would recommend everyone to read the Book "The General's Son" by Miko Pelel. Tells the real story about how after the 1967 war the Israeli's had a chance to give the Palestinians an independant state but chose to assimilate the West Bank instead.
