Was that not a unilateral action that gave the legal footing for Israel to be a country??. Why is one is good for one set of people and not the other. Funny if you study the history of the zionist movement , its purpose outside of creating a Jewish state was to deny the Palestinians a right to govern themselves. When the Balfour declaration came to be, Zionist leaders throught their influence with the British government time and time again stopped any attempt by the Palestinians to bring about self rule. When the Brits got wise and issued their White paper of 1939 the zionist switched to depending on America in stopping Palestinian aspirations for nationhood. Now we see the zionist continue this policy of stopping the Palestinians by again using their diaspora as a weapon to stop nationhood. If I was jewish I would be ashamed of what my people are doing.
