Barak Obama is spineless and given to supplication before his enemies. Netanyahu has not destroyed Obama as he has intended. Still that does not matter, for in Obama he has a man who will slavishly perform what ever Netanyahu demands. The UN ploy, exercising an exception passed around 60 years ago by the USA to keep the Soviet Union from vetoing the admission of a nation, is the LAST possible means of achieving a Palestinian State. If the Palestinians give up on that, then all hope for a peaceful resolution of the problem will have disappeared. This article is clearly joyful in the hope that the Palestinians have given up on statehood. It clearly does not consider the only alternative to a peaceful solution. The Netanyahu government and the right which dominates Israel have no intention of any peaceful solution which would surrender Israel living room to the east, Judea and Samaria. Thus the idea that the Palestinians have surrendered all hope of a peaceful solution is heart-warming to them. That concept should be chilling to anyone who does not stand to benefit from the murder of hundreds of Israelis and thousands of Palestinians.
