Mr. Levy is one of very few Israeli writers who share a similar view with many of Israel's neighbors from all sides of the borders, neighbors who Israel should listen to more often if peace is to be reached. And I don't necessarliy mean the leaders and politicians. Israeli's now have a good idea about how big the gap is between Arab politicians and the people they claim to represent. The article says that the US has not lifted a finger to stop the atrocities of the IDF in the occupied territories. Well, I don't hear to Israeli's complaining either. What the US has given is a license for Israel to do what Israel wanted to do in the first place. So does the shortcoming and lack of peace-directed-pressure come from the US or from the executioner?! Why does Israel need the US to tell it to stop, to stop?!
