I've been to one Reform Shul here in London, many years ago..no "Tam". First in Hebrew then in English, the tunes were awful BUT at least I didn't feel judged on my social standing, or the depth of my froomekeit or how I, "Shookled". I was a liberated Yid. Alas, I never returned. Truth is I only ever feel my Jewishness when I come here to witness the depth of animosity against us, and that I cannot stand idly by and watch. If I condemn Israel I'm congratulated by the Antisemites and demonized by my fellow Jews as a "Goy". If I condone Israel's behavior I'm demonized by the Antisemites who clearly just want Israel gone. Is there nowhere we Liberal Jews can have an honest debate without fear of being labelled?
