A few sheep that always wanted to choose themselves where they would graze saw how the sheperd had become tired of always having to chase them when trying to get away from the herd. So they went to him and said: if you give us in future an equal say about the direction we will take, none of us will feel the need anymore to stroll away from the herd and you will have no more need for chasing us. The sheperd agreed and after a while folks could see the strange sight on the hills surrounding the town of a herd of sheep walking in whatever direction they wanted with an agitated and stumbling sheperd following them shouting and pleading to them all the time, but his words were only there to be lost in the howling winds that blew them into oblivion. The moral of this story is of course that a sheperd should never forget he is not a sheep if he wants to keep his job.
