... hoping the persistent problem will somehow just simply go away. Where was the UN during the first Palestinian Civil War in Gaza a few years ago? Exactly where they'll be during the second Palestinian Civil War, this time in the West Bank, if the State of Palestine is created. The UN will be found to be ineffectual, tardy, and derailed as Hamas who has been riding shotgun on Fatah's diplomatic coattails to date raises its Kalashnikov and shatters the kneecaps of Fatah to gain control of Palestine in just one day, again. Where will the compromised UN be when militant Hamas, et al, then opens fire on Israel from behind civilian cover and Israel has to carve up the West Bank & Gaza like a Mediterranean Cod to root out the terrorists? They'll be sitting stunned on the sidelines with crocodile tears and putting pressure on Israel to withdraw to the 1948 lines, falsely believing that maybe that will bring lasting peace to the region. But that will only empower the Islamists to demand and fight for the non-existent lines of pre - 1948 when no modern State of Israel even existed. Deja vu UN?
