I don't really see what convincing arguments Israel could raise against this. The UN ended the British mandate and legitimated the State Israel. If the Israelis would fight this authority, they would fight they very reason for the existence of their own nation. This wouldn't make any sense. So, obviously, the UN has the right to end the Israeli rule over the Westbank and Gaza, too, and legitimate the creation of a Palestine nations. This makes sense, and after 42 years, and continuing Israeli opposition against any agreement in this matter, it's the right thing to do.
