Once again, we've been shown the peace talks were never anything but a sideshow for the Palestinians, something they were forced to participate in, and at best, a way to get Israel to give things up they otherwise wouldnt' have. With Faayad now openly stating the Palestinians will declare an independent state in 2011, the farce is over. Negotiations are now worthless. Israel should start now creating facts on the ground, entrench all existing settlements and prepare to defend their assessts. The Palestinians don't want to negotiate, play by the rules or recognize Israel, then Israel has every right to solidify its hold on land and assets currently in its possession. If the Palestinians don't want a proper conclusion to UN resolution 242 declaring that final borders will be determined by negotiations, then Israel will not give them any recognition, nor any comprise, even the the rest of the world might.
