The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
The Iranians would never consider using nuclear weapons on Israel given the latter's second strike capabilities; the Ayatollahs are not suicidal. They are unlikely to supply Hamas, Hezbollah or Syria with such weapons because they could easily be returned to sender if the animosity between the Shia and Sunni factions ever turns violent. The only use for a nuclear weapon these days is to deter other nations from interfering, and Iran has dealt with its fair share of Western military and domestic interference. Can you blame them for wanting an uranium-clad guarantee against Israeli and American agression?
