While the courts order the IDF to evacuate an illegally built building or settlement, it does not punish the settlers themselves. This is a sign of weakness. In a law-abiding country, such as the US, the court would fine rich violators/squatters in amounts that increase geometrically the longer they violate the law. Example: A family living in a settlement built on public land would be ordered to pay the state 100 shekel the first day, and double the amount successively each passing day, until they evacuate and destroy the house they built. Let the foreign donors pay to their bankruptcy. The IDF should do its job, but the settlers are the ones to blame.
