The "smart" Israel will do the following: Keep on attacking the rocket-launchers in Gaza with specifically targeted attacks, thereby sparing the civilian population as much as possible. At the same time begin a sincere process of negotiations with Abbas + Co. with the aim to establish a Palestinian state in the West Bank more or less with the borders of 67 (through land exchange, Israel will be able to keep some of the big, strategic important settlements along the "Green" line). And then make this (West Bank) Palestinian state a role model for the whole Arab world, which will make extremist groups like Hamas lose a lot of support in a very short time. The "dumb" Israel will start a bloody large scale operation into Gaza which will make her look once again like the villain of the world and Abbas like a traitor to his people. Which way, "smart" or "dumb", Israel...???
