Yes, this was a yellow journalistic hatchet job and yes, it was politically motivated. However, as a former employee of the Shalem Center, I can tell you that the people who work there are treated terribly. The article failed to mention how many people quit and how many are fired. You wouldn't believe it if you knew the numbers. And my politics are firmly on the right, so my comments here are not politically motivated. I must say I enjoyed the article tremendously, juvenile and petty though it was, because I had such a hideous experience working at Shalem.
