Let there be no illusions. If we want a practical solution to the problem, then the status quo cannot remain. Therefore, Israel -- given Hamas continues its behavior -- will have to either remove the blockade or reoccupy Gaza until Hamas is driven out. Both would be catostrophic, it's only a matter of which is the worst and which is the second-worst. Personally, I don't understand why Olmert and Barak didn't finish the job in 2008. There will be no peace until Hamas is ANNIHILATED. The PLO, for that matter, will never moderate its rhetoric so long as Hamas has a big role in the performance. Time to make big decisions Israel. Guess what? The world hates you no matter what you do, so you need to make bold decisions and forget their opinions. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Quatar, UAE...all of them would like to see an end to Hamas. It is in all of their interests to see an end to all of Iran's proxy governments for that matter. They only condemn Israel publicly so much because Israel does a half assed job (in 2006 and 2008) and leaves them with no other nice.
