simply to rule on lower court cases as to whether they violated the rights of the accused, mis-applied the law with respect to the crime charged orviolated some Constitutional Right of the accused. The Supreme Court sdoes not have the right to pick and choose cases which have not been appealed through lower courts. The Supreme cannot pre-empt the appeals process by stepping into the fray before the lower courts make their adjudication. For the Supreme Court to do such a thingis setting the Supreme Court as the sole ruling entity in the land; there is then no longer any use for an executive branch or a legislative ranch nor any reason to have a lower set of courts to hear routine cases. The last purpose of the Supreme Court is to decide the Constitutionality of a law. Of course, a nation must have a Constitution in order for the Supreme Court to make such decisions feasible.
