I fail to see the big "uncovering" by the Professor. Nothing in Sheleg's article diminishes what The Rebbe accomplished in his lifetime, which is almost mind boggling when put in perspective. What The Rebbe set in motion in the second half of the twentieth century on behalf of Jews worldwide of all levels of observance is unmatched in history and will have a lasting positive impact for generations. What does Friedman's yet to be proved "research" have to with what we do know about this tzaddik? Perhaps the same motivation as Sheleg to promote it.
