There is one reason, and one reason only, now and for the past 64 years, why there is no Palestinian state: the Palestinians themselves would not accept one if it also meant accepting a Jewish state on any territory, east or west of the Green Line, with or without settlements . If Palestinians, like Saeb Erekat, finally learn to utter a simple, one syllable, 3-letter word there might yet be a Palestinian state. The word is "Yes". So far, the Palestinians have only known how to say "No".
