"Do we have a partner who is ready to take the same steps for peace that the prime minister SAID he will take?" - Arad// As far as we can tell, both Fayyad and Abbas want a Palestinian state, and Fayyad's (the PM) work to establish the necessary institutions is almost done. Abbas DID engage in direct peace talks with Netanyahu, for about a month, and for MANY months with Olmert. So the Palestinian direction is clear. But who has to be BRIBED by the US to engage in real talks? Netanyahu and the Israeli government. Is Netanyahu a partner for peace? What he SAYS is worthless, as is well known for marketing specialists and PR people like Netanyahu. Actions speak louder than words.
