Elliott Abrams is the man who Bush put in charge of controlling the real US policy in the region. Not that Abrams makes it easy to know what he is up to. His latest "coup" was to suborn the attempted coup against Hamas by Fatah in Gaza which backfired and ended up with Fatah running out of Gaza with it's tail between it's legs.
