Precedent-setting ruling bypasses the adoption law requirement that the adoptive parent and the child must be of the same faith.02:11 26.11.15 | 0 comments
The UK us a parliamentary democracy with a hereditary head of state. England has a much better democratic system than Israel does. There are just 3 mainstream parties, all MPs are elected directly through regional districts and coalitions are very rare meaning more actually gets done and as there is no constant coalition bickering governments tend to last 4-5 years rather than the average 2 years in Israel. The queen is the head of state but she has no vote and answers to parliament in all things. The PM does discuss policy with her and she can even advise but the elected government has the final say in politics. The main need for royals nowdays is to bring in the tourists and inspire a royal memorabilia business worth millions. So royalty serves a useful purpose but its not a political one.
