Isn’t it the same scenario we have at the US? The so-called ‘anti-war movement' regards the war as a failure. If the war was a success, say a nuclear bomb on Baghdad with no single US casualty, than the public would probably be happy; we got rid of Sadam, we are safe now. Now the public want to impeach Bush, who failed to execute a successful war, for another strong on defense president, who is better in executing wars. The public will never go against the war culture in general, and against the military industrial complex, it is not politically correct. In short, as every wise politician knows, the public is not smart.
