"... Muslims have never had the experience of being a religious minority." This may be true for Muslims who live in the Middle East, but for American Muslims this is patently ridiculous. And the notion that Muslims refuse to assimilate after migration is also factually incorrect. Europe's problem is that it accepted a huge number of immigrants in a very short time, and then expected that cultural assimilation would be instantaneous, or that they would all just go home after awhile. I would characterize this as naive at best. The current wave of anti-Muslim sentiment sweeping across Europe absolutely has a racist undertone. In the case of the National Front, it has a racist overtone as well.
