Whenever there appears to be the slightest of peace sparks, those who want to have borders defined by their nationalist/ religious dogma rather than political reality act as if such spark might grow into an engulfing fire which has to be snuffed out, before it burns their delusional dreams. Such sparks should become a torch of peace which might bring light to a region engulfed in the bleak darkness of mutual ignorance fear, hatred, and violence. The only hope for future generations in the region is a negotiated peace resulting in borders based on UN resolutions and not on a severely selective and overwhelmingly subjective interpretation of history Those, who cling to their own personal dogma by espousing the concept of ?God?s given land? rather than concern for the future survival, happiness and prosperity of their children and grandchildren will never willingly, tread the path to a negotiated peace. Rather selfish and short sighted to say the least. Hopefully these extremist, though vociferous, are in the minority. Maybe the concerned majority, should offer a prayer, that these zealots might see the error of their ways
