There is a hole in the arguement of this column. That said, I will agree there is much to talk about. It's just that there is little point to it, when there is no one to talk to as a peace partner. Surely the writer is aware that Hamas's non recognition of Israel is premised on not accepting co-existence. Hamas seeks a unitary Moslem majority state. It wants an end to post 67 occupation (including East Jerusalem) in return for cease-fire. It also wants a right of refugee return which will only occur with a unitary state. Palestinians know this. They wanted to humble Fatah to end PA corruption and for Israel to continue disengagement. They'll vote on foreign policy next time.
