The problem, which the writer fails to address is how does the Court expect to implement the principle of 'Equality in a state which insists on its Jewishness ? If being a Jewish person, community, or municipality does not grant the holder of that identity concrete material benefits, privelage and advantage over non-Jews, in what sense does the state continue ( or claim ) to be Jewish? And if a state aspires to true Equality among its citizens ( including the remaining 22% of the indigenous population who continue to reside there), how can it hope to be distinctively Jewish?
