You statement that the Palestinians would hurry up because they want their state is just false on its face. The Palestinians could have had a state about a half a dozen times in the past but opted instead to fight on. They have shown absolutely no urgency in the desire for statehood. This new public, understanding between the USA and Israel might give incentive to the average Palestinian to be serious in the next 3 months about listening to the compromises Abbas and Fayyad reach. If the freeze were permanent, then the public and opposition groups would have less incentive to compromise.
