I hope you are right but its difficult to see any walking away from Israel to date. I agree with the general thrust that Israel always has to be forced into peaceful arrangements with its neighbours, but I doubt that there is the political will in the USA to force the issue re the Palestinians - they just aren't important or powerful enough. (The fact that the USA put its foot down re Egypt is just reflective of their greater importance.) I also doubt that this will change until popular opinion changes re Zionism in the USA.
