Most of the Islamic World is now an enemy of the the United States. This is also true for India that is under a serious Jihadist threat of her own. The USA and India are a natural fit as military allies. People are missing the obvious implication behind the new agreement with India; i.e. India is perceived to be a real potential ally, while Pakistan is NOT. The battle for hearts and minds in the Muslim World is considered a lost cause; the neo-Cons with their dreams of freedom and democracy have failed, and now America is girding itself for the worst case scenario, war eventually involving the widespread use of WMD. The situation is expected to deteriorate in the years ahead. Americans are choosing natural allies who share common cause, and not just courting sympathetic dictators, like Pervez Musharref, who may soon be swept aside by the Islamic tidal wave that has engulfed the Muslim World. Success in war entails a recognition of uncomfortable realities. -B-
