Angry journalists, who initially boycotted the session, describe subcommittee's claims to be part of a 'witch hunt,' and slam Israel's 'authoritarian' efforts to clamp down on the media.14:27 09.02.16 | 2 comments
After Israel has lifted the "siege" over Gaza (keeping the naval blockade in place for security purposes only), what will be the gain to the Lebanese activists from sending another ship? By now they realize that they will end up in Ashdod, which they can now do directly, by shipping officially all the humanitarian goods to Gaza through Ashdod? Well, consider the case of the disappearing ship "Miriam". We have seen pictures of the Bishop blessing the women voyagers. Was this an illusion? Perhaps not. The Miriam might be on its way to Gaza right now, going in some roundabout way, perhaps to an Egyptian port, then make a turn and head towards Gaza, and all this time Israel is watching out for the "Julia", a newly announced ship which may simply be a decoy. Perhaps the goal here is to outsmart and humiliate Israel.
