Perhaps the most idiotic thing about Rosner is that he fails to comprehend that American Jews are like American everyone else's. They are American AND Jewish. We are now quite comfortable in America to let the hyphenation begin. Every year in the spring the folks down the block with bag pipes practice. Then there are the "Scottish Games." We have "Greek Festivals", "Italian Festivals," and "Egyptian Festivals" in Houston. I enjoy the Indian Bazar. I remember how during the Yom Kippur War the Israeli Arabs rallied to the cause. That was because at that time Israel defined them as ISRAELI and only then Arabs. What has changed? Why would I NOT care if my representative in congress was Jewish, Muslim or Atheist? He happens to be Christian. But so what? Haaretz might well find a far more representative person to present the American situation to the people of Israel than Shmuel Rosner. He is far too connected with AIPAC and far too disconnected from the American reality.

from the article: First thought on most Jewish Congress ever: Wow. Second thought: Oy
