The Israeli Arabs continue living in Israel although many Jews would see them as a fifth column. The Israeli Jewish settlers live in the West Bank under similar circumstances. In proposing two states Israel recognizes a Jewish state in which Arabs will continue to live and a Palestinian-majority state. The Palestinians want to evict all Jews on their land and refuse to accept a Jewish-majority state. Under these circumstances Jews have nothing to lose by settling all of their biblically claimed territory before the Palestinians succeed in their goal of settling the West Bank and Israel proper.
