    Sorry Moshe, but I find your point of view regarding lobbyists to be exceedingly naive. As someone who has worked as a registered lobbyist, it is my firm belief that the lobby is FAR AND AWAY the #1 threat to democracy in America. Put simply, they own our government. It is through the lobby that votes are bought and sold. It is through the lobby that elections are manipulated and decided. The lobby, in many ways, has more power than the elected officials themselves. And they answer only to the highest bidder. It is an absolute abomination. And it will never change, because the lobby would have to approve the reforms that are needed to take away their power. The only possible resolution is for the American people to rise up themselves against this threat. I fear Americans will never muster sufficient energy to do so. And so, thus ends democracy, with only a whimper.
