This sounds logical and accurate. However erod died in 4 B.C.E. nit 4 C.E. a difference of 7 years. It also occurs to me that since the actual rubble from the paring down of the top of the mountain has been traced to the fill held behind the Western Wall, that the platform could not have been completed until this was done. It follows that any edifices errected on the platform anywhere near the western wall must have been built by the later Kings. As I recall, perhaps incorrectly, the large oen expanse from the Western Wall to the Dome of the Rock is mainly clear of any structures.
