That the burning of the mosque is a despicable act is indisputable. So to is the fact that it is very different than Kirstallnact. Yes, the act of destruction of a place of worship of profound significance to Muslim people is the same but the critical difference, one that make all the difference in the world, is that the state of Israel was not orchestrating the malicious behaviour and indeed considers it to be unacceptable and criminal. That the members of the community would be outraged by burning of their synagogue is understandable. But its time for them to grow up and get beyoond the mentality of an outraged mob. The Chief Rabbi's appearance was an act of support and genuine sorrow. It was also a statement to the many he has influence over that destruction of holy places in unacceptable. Pals don't get it yet but violence against people is worse than violence against their places of worship.
