The IAF carried out a brilliant attack against the Syrian alleged reactor, except that it would have been much better not to destroy the facility but to inform IAEA, then see Syria under UN sanctions, as Iran is today. Syria got off scot free, and a nuclear facility there was never certified officially by IAEA. The IAEA board is made up mostly of small countries, and they tend to resist demanding forced inspections, where they might be the next target. A major failure of Israeli statesmanship.
