So it seems, Khamenei now has two paths to 'nuclear nirvana'. A nuclear compromise... or a nuclear weapon. Each path has dangers for Tehran... and the psychodrama will be transformative for the Iranians. Most people believe Khamenei won't compromise. Even if time may no longer be Khamenei's friend. He must calculate whether Iran can withstand the economic pressure to it's oil and banking sectors. And once a nuclear weapon is ready to be tested. Whether Tehran has the military might to defend their program. Both options are not easy to manage. I believe the Ayatollahs are poised to test the military option. Not very smart for a regime that prides itself on ethics and intelligence.
