The international community has failed in Syria. It has failed to prevent the bloodshed, failed to counter the violence of both Assad and the Islamist factions. In recent days we have witnessed diplomatic figures speak of the potential 'destruction' of Syria from within, the dangers of WMD's falling to the hands of sectarian groups and scores of Syrians being found bound and executed. The international community also failed in the wake of the Lebanon-Israel war. It failed to prevent a massive resupply of missiles and weapons to Hezbollah via the Syrian border, right in front of the eyes of the so-called UN peacekeeping force. The international community will also fail to prevent any potential WMD's, and advanced weapons from the failing Assad regime, from reaching Hezbollah via the Syrian border. Israel must look after its own security needs. The world will not do it for them. They will just sit back and criticise, but it is not them who may be forced to endure the inevitable consequences of inaction.
